Raiffeisen Bank Report: inflation prognosis for 2011 rising from 4.5% to 5.3%
ACTMedia - 13 Aprilie 2011
Raiffeisen Bank has reviewed its prognosis about the annual inflation rate at the end of 2011 in a negative sense, anticipating a 5.3% level, a lot more than the previous estimate of 4.5%.
'Inflation expectations at public level mat grow considering that the inflation rate has been at high level for a long period of time. Moreover, considering that adverse shocks continue to materialize, the annual inflation rate might grow to 8.5%-8.t% in June, before dropping to a little over 6% in July due to the basic effect,' a bank report shows.
Raiffeisen Bank analysts expect BNR to review the inflation prognosis for the end of the year, in conditions in which in February the central bank had estimated 3.6% inflation for the end of the year, but pointed out that inflation pressure were on the rise.
BNR targets 3% inflation +/- 1% for 2011 and estimates a 3.6% rate for the end of the year.
