Trade, Romanian entrepreneur's solution during crisis
ACTMedia - 13 Aprilie 2011
Romanian entrepreneurs seem to see in trade the way to enter business in this period of crisis. Both last year and also earlier this year, most newly-established companies operate in a form of trade. Thus, of the 18,660 registrations in the first two months of this year at the Trade Registry, a quarter is in trading activities.
The tendency in the previous year is thus continued, when trade was also the main field entrepreneurs focused on. Thus, of the 122,831 registrations in 2010, more than 20% were in a form of trading activity.
Other fields preferred by Romanian businesspeople are related to agriculture and opening restaurants and other food services, representing some 10% of new registrations.
This year, most companies and PFA /Authorized Individuals/ have been registered in Bucharest and Ilfov County (3,678, the county surrounding Bucharest), followed by Iasi County /north-east of Bucharest/, with 807 new companies and Constanta County /south-east of Bucharest/, with 741 registrations.
According to the National Trade Registry Office, 10,192 commercial companies and 8,468 PFA were registered in January and February.
