ACTMedia - 18 Aprilie 2011
Romania's Government will assign 35 billion lei (EUR1=RON4.0966) for investments this year and the sum will be increased to RON45 billion next year, Prime Minister Emil Boc told a news conference Friday.
'We need investments, development and jobs, because this is how we pay wages and pensions. The Government's goal is to assign more money to investments. In 2010, we assigned RON33 billion, this year we have RON35 billion and in 2012 we'll reach RON45 billion,' said Boc. He added capital Bucharest is a strategic investment objective for the Government. 'The capital is and will always be a strategic objective for the Government and we're not just investing in the national stadium, which got EUR35 million last year, but also in transport infrastructure,' said Boc. The prime minister on Friday attended the contract signing for the construction of a new subway station and depot, part of a new mainline, in capital Bucharest.
