American investments in Romania: EUR 570 mn in wind energy and social care

Groupe Concorde Developments (GCD) of the USA will launch in Romania, in collaboration with the government and EU projects estimated at 570 million euro, in wind energy and the building of social care centers.
The company will built a wind park in Tulcea, with a capacity of 45 MW, using high efficiency turbines made in Canada, a GCD press release shows, according to Mediafax.
The project has a value of 90 million euro (127 million dollars) and accords for the purchase of electricity produced have been signed.
Moreover, the company is negotiating with a Greek company for the purchase of another project, with a capacity of 120 MW in the same area.After the completion of negotiations, Enel will conclude with GCD a contract to purchase energy.GCD will also hold this project whose value will be 260 million euro (367 million dollars).The two stages of the wind project will have an overall value of 350 million euro (494 million dollars).
In the case of the second project for the building of a chain of social care ecological centers GCD hopes to sign the contract by 1 June. The total value of the contracts is 220 million euro and GCD anticipates a profit margin of 40%.All these projects will receive subsidies and backing from the government and EU.
Alex Taranu, the general manager and president of Groupe Concorde Development declared that the contracts are the result of 'three years of investments and negotiations.'
Groupe Concorde Developments has been carrying out operations in Europe since 2005 and in the US since 2007.
