Finance Ministry raises some RON 1.4 bn in T-bill auction this Monday

The Ministry of Public Finance (MFP) on Monday raised about RON 1.4 bln (about 0.3286 bln euros at the current exchange rate) from the commercial banks operating in Romania, through a discount T-bill issue placed through the National Bank of Romania (BNR).
The 12-month bills were placed for a cut-off yield of 6.65 pct per annum. The weighted average discount rate was 6.23 pct.
The total bid of the 12 participating banks was of RON 2.99 billion plus.
The 12 primary dealers that participated in the bidding were as follows: Alpha Bank Romania, BRD - Groupe Societe Generale, Banca Comerciala Carpatica (BCC), Banca Comerciala Romana (BCR), Banca Transilvania, Bancpost, CEC Bank, Citibank Romania, ING, Raiffeisen Bank, RBS Bank Romania and UniCredit Tiriac Bank.
