Prime-Minister Emil Boc attended the 'Summer Festivity' 2011 on Thursday night, a traditional meeting of the German investors in Romania, marking the end of the business year at the end of June.
Emil Boc restated that Germany is the main trade partner of Romania, mentioning that the companies with German capital have a 4.5 million euros portfolio.
'Romania officially overcame the recession as a first state of making it out of the crisis and the economic prospects indicate that is a right time to invest in Romania,' the PM underlined. Boc mentioned the investors benefit from the new law of the public-private partnership and that the Government aids the business environment and came up with the evidence of the 16 percent flat tax and the VAT.
'The Government I represent played its mandate to defend the flat tax and the VAT,' Boc indicated. He said the major support to the business environment is still represented by keeping up with the fundamental state reforms.
'The reform of the Labour Code made the labour market more flexible and the new Legal Code shortened the economic lawsuits. The Financial Ministry reform will reduce bureaucracy and businessmen are going to waste less time and gain more money,' the PM claimed.
Boc assured Romania ended the populist politicking or raising salaries and pensions only to attract votes.'The country's economic stability will not be compromised by politicking measures,' he said.
Chairman of the Romanian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry Radu Merica said that the German investors would not leave Romania, staying here and waiting for better times, although there are current issues to amend.
