Structured Products Market totals EUR 40 mn transactions, on stock exchange

The Structured Products Market totals transactions worth about 170 million lei and a bulk amounting to over 5.5 million transactional units, one year after its launch on the stock market, with more than 78 percent of it being achieved in 2011, the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) informs.
According to the above-mentioned source, the transactions on the Structured Products Market attained 124 million lei (30 million euros), with 4.3 million transactional units, during 2011, only.
The Market scored transactions worth 170 million (40 million euros) and a bulk of over 5.5 million units, during its first activity year.
'The considerable growth in the Structured Products Market, since launched, proves the high interest the retail investors show in these instruments, and makes us bring even more new financial instruments,' BVB general manager Valentin Ionescu said.
At present, the investors can trade 39 individual certificate issues, namely 12 index certificates and 27 turbo certificates, issued by Erste Group Bank AG and Reiffeisen Centrobank AG, both banks supplying Market Making services for their own products.
