ACTMedia - 18 Iulie 2011
In 2009 and 2010 the Romanian economy went down, first with 7.1% of the GDP and then with 1.3% of the GDP. Although the salary cuts depreciated due to the inflation as well as the unemployment which affected all counties, statistically not the whole country was in recession.
Between 2009 – 2010 Arges and Cluj were the only counties in Romania which had economic growths, the real appreciation of GDP, in both years in which the national economy went down, according to the data of the National Commission of Prognosis (CNP).
Thus, while in 2009 the national economy went down by 7.1% of the GDP, Arges went up by 3.9%of GDP and that of Cluj by 0.5%. In 2010, when the national economy went down by 1.3% of the GDP, that of Arges went up by 4.6% of the GDP and Cluj by 1.5%.
