Slight appreciation for OMV Petrom against rising market

The shares listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) gained on Wednesday 0.20 pct on average, in an evolution tracked by the BET-C composite index.
The shares of the five financial investment companies (SIFs, the evolution of which is reflected by the BET-FI index) slid 0.01 pct.
OMV Petrom gained 0.63 percentage points on Wednesday, ranking fourth by the amount of trades. The average price of a Petrom share was RON 0.3850, and trades stood at RON 789.630. OMV Petrom ranked third by the volume of trades. Shares of 53 issuers changed hands on the main BVB market, the 'Regular', 24 of which scored an appreciation in quotations, 10 kept flat and 19 declined.
BVB trades amounted to 6.62 million euros (RON 28.19 million), whilst trades carried out on the RASDAQ over-the-counter market stood at 1.05 million euros; trades on the alternative trading system (ATS) amounted to 672 euros. The BET index that reflects the evolution of the most liquid ten listed issuers dipped 0.04 percent, whereas the extended blue-chip index of the top liquid 25 companies - the BET-XT - inched up 0.20 pct and the sectoral energy and related utilities index BET-NG closed 0.37 pct higher. The top liquid issuers were Proprietatea Fund - with trades worth RON 20.67 million, SIF 5 Oltenia - RON 1.65 million, and VES - RON 841,539.
