ZEW survey : Economic perspectives for Romania, the best in ECE

The perception of financial analysts regarding the evolution of Romania's economy for the next six months has become in July the best in Central and Eastern Europe (ECE) in the context of reduced worsening of expectations against the majority of states in the region.
In June Romania dropped on the position of second after economic expectations at six months, being overcome by Hungary, according to a survey of the Zentrum fur Europaische Wirtschaftsforschung (ZEW) in Germany, quoted by Mediafax.
The indicator that measures the perception of analysts for the next six months dropped by 4.6 points in the case of Romania, at 21.2 points. Hungary had the biggest decline in the region, of 20.4 points, at 14 points, and went second. Only Turkey had better perspective, with three points, but they are the weakest in the region ( -15 points).
For Central and Eastern Europe, the indicator of economic expectations lost 2.5 points and dropped some points, the survey made by ZEW in collaboration with the Austrial Erste group shows. Depending on the present economic situation. Romania is one but last in the region, before Hungary. The indicator for Romania lost 2.3 points and got to 28.1 points, while for Hungary went up by 1.7 points, at -33.4 points.
In Central and Eastern Europe,the economic situation evolved positiviely, the analysts considered, and the indicator which evaluates the present situation increased by 8.2 points, at 12.9 points. The expectations for the BVB worsened in July, the indicator referring to the evolution of the indicator BET which include the most liquid ten shares on the stock market, with a drop of 13.2 points, at 27.6 points. The stock exchange in Romania went up, but the second position in the region, depending on expectations, in the context of a strong decline of other stock exchanges in the region. Better perspectives have only the capital market in Turkey.
The indicator which measures expectations for the evolution of the leu had a better improvement in the region of 10.1 points at 30.1 points. Better estimates exist, but, for the Polish zlot and the Czech kron.
For the survey made between 4-18 July participated 74 analysts. The survey includes in the region of Central and Eastern Europe Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Turkey.
