The National Bank of Romania (BNR) has set the August reference interest rate at 6.25 percent per annum.

BNR says in a press release that the reference interest rate was established under Law 312/2004 concerning the statutes of the National Bank of Romania and taking into account the recent macroeconomic and monetary developments.
