Romanian money transfer company Meridiana is expanding its services in Spain and France
Agerpres - 2 August 2011
Romanians working in Spain and France will be able to send money home, starting this month, using the services provided by the Romanian money transfer company Meridiana, which stakes this way to double the transferred amount, with the target set at 10 million euros per month.
'The year 2011 is the year of enlargement on the European market for Meridiana. We try to satisfy the needs of all customers, mostly Romanians who left to work abroad', general manager of Meridiana Money Transfer, Nicholas Banea, told AGERPRES.
After this expansion, Meridiana hopes that, in the coming months, will reach 10 million euros in transactions every month, based on the money of Romanians who went to work abroad, in Italy, Germany, Spain and France.
Romanian company Meridiana, a member of the Atlassib Holding, aims this year to triple money transfers from and to Romania, following that, in ten years time, to become the main competitor in Europe for Western Union, announced in January Ilie Carabulea, Atlassib Holding owner, in an interview given to AGERPRES.
Meridiana also plans in the next period to transfer money for Romanians in the European Union, at the same time with remittances to and from the Republic of Moldova.
S.C. Meridiana Money Transfer S.R.L. is the first payment institution with one hundred percent Romanian capital, authorized by Romania's National Bank to provide money remittance services.
