Stock market opens low on Tuesday

Trade on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened low on Tuesday, with the BET-C general index having declined 0.31 percent in the first 15 minutes of the session.

The BET-FI index of the SIF financial investment company stocks plunged 0.90 percent, while the BET index reflecting the developments in the 10 most liquid stocks dropped 0.48 percent and the ROTX index slid 0.93 percent.

The enlarged blue chip index BET-XT of the 25 most liquid stocks went down 0.64 percent, and the BET-NG energy sector and public utilities index surged 0.41 percent.

The BVB liquidity stood at 228,095 euros. On the RASDAQ ring of BVB shares worth 17,291 euros were traded in the first 15 minutes of the session.

The most liquid stocks were those of Amonil and the Proprietatea Fund.
