Representative office to promote Romanian offer in Chinese market to open in Beijing

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bucharest (CCIB) plans to open in Beijing a representative office to promote the Romanian offer in the Chinese market and also to draw the Chinese investors to Romania.
The CCIB conducted an economic mission to China, namely to Hong Kong, Shenzen and Beijing headed by the CCIB chairman Sorin Dimitriu. The Romanian business executives' delegation attended two business forums held in Hong Kong and Beijing and accompanied the official delegation of Romanian Prime Minister Emil Boc who has recently paid a seven-day official visit to China. During the forum in Beijing, the CCIB officials continued the talks for opening a representative office of China Development Bank in Bucharest, with such office to conduct the entire activity of the bank in South-Eastern Europe. In order to draw the Chinese investors' attention to the projects included in the Danube Strategy, the Bucharest Chamber of Commerce together with the Beijing Chamber of Commerce will organise an Investment Forum called the Danube Chambers of Commerce Association (DCCA) -China. The event aims to promote the most important projects targeting the sustainable development of the Danube region, projects that belong to all the DCCA member chambers.
