Stocks dip in opening minutes

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened down on Wednesday, with the BET-C composite index sliding 0.52 percent in the first five minutes after the opening of trades.

The BET-FI index that tracks the performance of the five financial investment companies (SIFs) dropped 0.60 pct, whereas the BET index that reflects the evolution of the most liquid ten listed issuers fell 0.50 percentage points. The ROTX index dipped 0.52 pct.

The extended blue-chip index BET-XT of the top-liquid 25 issuers dropped 0.30 pct and the sectoral energy and related utilities index BET-NG lost 0.57 pct.

The BVB liquidity was 22,603 euros and trades performed on the RASDAQ market in the first five minutes of the session stood at mere 47.25 euros.
