SIFs - the draft law to hike the ownership limit might be discussed in October

According to the Chairman of the Budget and Finance Commission of the Chamber of Deputies, cited by the local media, the draft law to hike the ownership limit in SIFs from 1% to 5% might be discussed in the Chamber during October.
We remind that this draft has been approved by the Senate but it has been languishing through the Commissions of the Chamber of Deputies for almost two years. We view favourably this piece of news but we still believe that this project has low odds to pass in 2011 given the fact that Romania will have elections in 2012.
