Top of most performing companies listed on BVB

Azomures and Ropharma are companies listed at BVB which created the highest value for shareholders in 2010, according to the study 'Contrast TOP 50 of the Most Performing companies listed at BVB' and the first 10 companies listed at RASDAQ according to a methodology which includes four main indicators: real rehabilitation of capital, using company capital, the combined increase indicator and share profitability.
'In 2010, for the first time since the beginning of the economic crisis, most companies includes in our study showed an improvement of main financial indicators: sales grew by +11.8% compared to 2009, while aggregate profit (EBIT) grew by +180% against 2009, showing the first growth year after 2006,' Adrian Comeneci, senior project manager Contrast Management Consulting mentioned in the report.
Six companies in the 2009 top did not enter the 2010 top because they were neither among the first 50 companies according to business figure or did not fulfill the liquidity criterion.
Azomures, the leader of the classification climbed by 31 positions compared to 2009, obtained a 62% increase of the business figure compared to the previous year (reaching 1.2 billion lei in 2010, and high and a high capital profitability.
Ropharma, second in the top of the most performing companies listed at BVB counted on the change of sale mix to obtain a 22% increase of the business figure compared to 2009. With a net business figure of about 352 million lei, Ropharma was 1.35 above the level of retail pharmaceutical market. The 35% growth of sales led to 74% incomes from retail sales.
Electroarges almost trebled its profit in one year by 43% export increase and internal restructuring process.
At sector level, the most solid evolution was registered by the pharmaceutical segment, with a combined indicator of increase of business figure and active stock of +8.5% and a real profitability of capital of +0.2%. In 2010 the pharmaceutical sector recorded a 19.5% increase of value in euro, reaching a total value of 2.286 billion euro.
