SIF Moldova will ask shareholders opinion on Erste Group’s proposal for BCR

SIF Moldova (SIF2), the only SIF who was not part of the agreement with Erste Group to sell its minority shake in BCR, will ask shareholders' opinion on the offer received from the bank.

SIF2 has been the most vocal supporter of a listing of BCR. Shareholders' opinion will be consulted during the same GSM where shareholders should vote to press ahead with the listing. We view this piece of news as neutral for SIF2 shares. SIF2 has underperformed its peers yesterday after the announcement and we consider that this underperformance is not justified since it has the option to either sell its BCR shares under the same conditions as the others or obtain something more from Erste Group.
