World gas industry issues, debated at 1st International Gas Congress in Romania

World gas industry problems are to be analyzed for two days, in Medias / north-west of Bucharest /, on the occasion of the 1st International Gas Congress in Romania - IE ROM GAS 2011, with the participation of numerous gas industry specialists from the country and abroad.
The Congress takes place on Thursday and Friday (September 15 to 16), and event organizers are Link Europe Limited, a member of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in London, and Sonametan, in partnership with SNGN Romgaz and SNGN Transgaz.
Sonametan is the first association of Romanian companies specialized in exploiting, production, transport and distribution of natural gas, which includes Aprov SA, Armax GAZ SA, Bat SA, Dafora SA, Targu Mures Drilling Probes, Romgaz SA and Transgaz SA.
According to a press release issued by organizers, the Congress is conducted on two sections - 'Natural gas and their impact on the international market' and 'European gas supply security.'
Congress opening ceremony took place on Wednesday evening, and paper works started to be presented on Thursday morning.
The following personalities have announced participation in the Medias held event: Yolanda Garcia Mezquita Gas representing the Security of Gas Supply and Networks EU Commission, Peter Ivanovich - economic and political adviser to the president of the Republic of Montenegro, Wahter Roger from the Euro Gas Systems, Varujan Vosganian - president of the Economic, Industries and Services Committee of the Romanian Senate, Iulian Iancu - president of the Committee for Industries and Services of the Chamber of Deputies, Alexander Patruti - president of the National Agency for Mineral Resources and Dan Plaveti - president of the National Regulatory Agency in the Field of Energy.
'We are very pleased to announce that the 1st International Gas Congress in Romania - IE ROM GAS 2011 invites you for the first time in Medias, on September 15 to 16, in order to come into contact with a new wave of opportunities and challenges in the gas industry in the region', said MP Piteiu. According to the invitation, this meeting is extremely important against the backdrop of an increasing demand for energy and natural gas, as a result of economic development. 'Natural gas plays a vital role, and the world needs it in its expanded energy demand, but at the same time it must help reduce greenhouse gas emissions', says the document released by Sonametan.
