BVB included in ROTX index as of Sept. 19

The Bucharest Stock Exchange SA (BVB) will be incorporated in the new structure of the ROTX index, effective as of September 19, 2011, the BVB announced in a release.

The BVB will weigh 1.95 pct in the index, which includes companies such as the Proprietatea Fund, BRD Group Soc-Gen, Erste Group Bank, OMV Petrom, Banca Transilvania, Transgaz, Transelectrica, Biofarm, Azomures, Banca Comerciala Carpatica, Condmag and Dafora.

BVB was admitted to trading on its own regulated market on June 8, 2010. Since then, issuer BVB was included in a series of local and international indices (the BET, BET-XT, BET-C - for the first category; the FTSE Mondovisione Exchanges, the Dow Jones Global Exchanges - for the second category).

The ROTX is a capitalization-weighted price index that incorporates the 15 top liquid Romanian blue chips and is calculated in EUR, USD and RON and disseminated in real-time by Wiener Boerse, the ROTX is designed as tradable index and is used as underlying instrument for structured products.
