Pedersen & Partners, official management selection consultant for state-owned companies

Pedersen & Partners is the consultant that will assist the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Business Environment (MECMA) with the selection of the professional managers for the majority state-owned companies, reads a MECMA release.

'The MECMA evaluation commission [on Monday] decided that the bid of Pedersen & Partners scored highest and declared it winner of the procedure for the selection of consultant that will assist the Ministry with the selection of future professional managers for state-owned companies. The contract will be signed after the expiry of the legal term for the settlement of bid challenges,' reads the release.

Hidroelectrica, Oltchim, the Oltenia National Pitcoal Company, power supplier Electrica Furnizare and Romarm are the first state-owned companies to get professional management assigned by specific methods.

The consultant will prepare the specifications for the auctions to pick the firms that will recruit the future managers for each of the five companies. Alongside ministry representatives, the consultant will select the economic information recruitment firms need to select the managers. Also, the consultant will establish the essentials to be pursued in the final interviews, Agerpres informs.

According to a bill on the private management of public enterprises initiated by PDL Senator Sorin Fodoreanu, the private management contract is concluded for a period between one and four years and may be extended, depending on the registered performance.
