Ghizdeanu (CNP): The international environment seems unfavourable to Romania
ACTMedia - 21 Septembrie 2011
The current international environment seems unfavourable to Romania and that is why for a short future Romania should expect moderate growth that is better than this year's, Chairman of the National Economic Projections Board (CNP) Ion Ghizdeanu told a conference on Tuesday on macroeconomic policies.
'We hope to reach the 3-percent province next year. We are analysing the developments in domestic and external demand. A moderate economic growth is the result of direct external demand and also of difficult funding, and that is why we are expecting small economic growth in 2012. For many years now, exports have been the engine of growth, together with investments,' said Ghizdeanu.
About the exports, Ghizdeanu said that Romania is nearing a 4-billion-euro monthly value. On the other hand, talking about domestic consumption, he said that there are signs of resumption.
