Joint Romania-Moldova government meeting to be held in November

The joint meeting of the governments from Bucharest and Chisinau will be held in November, premier Emil Boc and his Moldovan counterpart Vlad Filat decided on Thursday during a meeting held in at Victoria Palace.
'This joint meeting of the governments of Romania and Moldova will be good opportunities to evaluate present projects and initiate new ones,' said premier Emil Boc.
The agenda of the meeting was discussed by foreign ministers Teodor Baconschi and Iurie Lanca early this month, when the Moldovan minister visited Bucharest.
'The agenda includes a complete package on sectors in which we want to progress, starting with the ones of major importance and power and road infrastructure to questions concerning the transfer of knowhow, the ways in which the free aid promised to Moldova turns into projects we can implement. We intend to generate new bilateral cooperation mechanisms in the regional and European policy and a series of punctual subjects we want to overcome, small questions about TVR in Moldova, the base for a new ICR headquarters. In other words we have to turn to account the works of several inter-ministerial committees which worked to upgrade the bilateral juridical frame and are close to completing this political statement for the partnership of European integration which we will assume,' minister Baconschi said.
'We are talking about interconnecting power systems, interconnecting the Moldovan and the Romanian systems means interconnecting with the European one, both in the field of gas and electric power. Re-building bridges over the Prut river which were destroyed during WW II, attracting Romanian investments these are fields in which we work side by side,' the Chisinau official said.
This Fall we will organize a joint meeting announced by premier Boc at the end of April when Marian Lupu, the ad interim president from Chisinau came to Bucharest.
