EABC: Government policies needed in support of business environment

The Romanian government should consider the business environment as a partner that needs to be supported by governmental policies, Michael Maibach, president of the European-American Business Council, told Agerpres on the occasion of a conference on solutions for exiting the crisis organized in Bucharest by the European People's Party (EPP).

The Romanian government must see the business environment as a partner wherewith it must stay in constant communication, hold negotiations to improve the climate. Companies contribute to increasing investments and the number of employees. Universities too can develop with the help of companies, providing in their turn skills that can be further used by businesses, said Michael Maibach.

He added that business development should be considered a noble profession worth being encouraged.

Companies are part of the solution, they should not be seen as a problem, and this is an area that needs to be regulated as soon as possible. Doing business is a noble profession and business people must be encouraged. The business environment should be listened to and supported through government policies, added Michael Maibach.
