Gallup Study: Romania registers one of the biggest differences between aspiring freelancers and people who want to start a business
ACTMedia - 7 Octombrie 2011
According to a Gallup study, Romania registers one of the budget difference in EU between the percentage of people who want to be freelancers and those who intend to start their own business. The promotion of successful models could be a solution and that is why they intend of bring to the fore the champions who have won the bet against crisis and have increased their incomes.
The need of generating a change of mentality is strengthened by the same Gallup study, according to which the Romanians have a relatively low perception of the quality of entrepreneurs (only 14% of Romanians agree that entrepreneurs are creators of products and services benefitting the population compared to 21% the EU average).
'In full economic instability, governments of the world, bet on local entrepreneurs to generate jobs and boost national economy. Unfortunately the Romanians' perception is one of the poorest in EU and we are second but last of the 27 EU states. Entrepreneurs ready to assume risks to open businesses are heroes nowadays. We are trying to encourage a change of mentality in Romania by promoting models appreciated and followed by the Romanians. By encouraging local entrepreneurs we encourage new jobs in Romania and economic development,' says Irina Anghel, the Chairman and Founder of Triple Helix Association.
