Gazprom Neft unveils investment plans to create 500 jobs in Romania

Business officials of NIS company of Serbia, a subsidiary of the Russian company Gazprom Neft, on Thursday unveiled to Romanian Prime Minister Emil Boc, at a meeting at the Romanian Government House in Bucharest, their intention to develop in Romania oil investments worth some millions of euros by 2015 and create nearly 500 jobs.
The Romanian Government reports in a press release that the business delegation was headed by Gazprom Neft Deputy Director General for Foreign Assets and Director General for Serbia Kyrill Kravchenko. Boc is quoted as saying that foreign investors like NIS, a member of the Gazprom Group, are welcome to Romania, voicing support for jobs creating projects.
Also attending the meeting at the Victoria Palace Government House in Bucharest were Gazprom Neft Deputy Director General for Serbia's Crude Industry and Director of the Department for Investment and Strategy Constantin Nicolaus Petri, Russian ambassador in Bucharest Alexander Churilin, Romanian Economy Minister Ion Ariton, Chairman of the Romanian National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) Dan Iuliu Plaveti and Chairman of the Romanian National Mineral Resources Agency (ANRM) Alexandru Patruti.
