About 13% of SMEs loan guarantees, granted to European projects

The National Guarantee Fund for Loans to Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (FNGCIMM) granted over 24,000 guarantees, worth 1.65 billion euros, out of which approximately 13 percent to co-finance European-financed projects, according to the data released by FNGCIMM on Tuesday in a seminar on European fund accessing.

Therefore, the guarantying institution supported 3 billion-euro loans, out of which 11.2 percent were loans to co-finance European projects in approximately two years.

About 10,000 SMEs will receive guarantees from FNGCIMM through a new communication system between the Fund and the bank, the institution estimates.

The maximum guarantee granted accounts for 80 percent of the loan, but does not exceed 2.5 million euros per applicant.
