CNVM: Restoring investors' trust and transparency, priorities of financial auditors
ACTMedia - 4 Noiembrie 2011
Restoring the confidence of investors and transparency should be the main priorities in the financial province, because investors have to know the aspects detected by the financial auditors, Chair of the National Securities Commission (CNVM) Gabriela Anghelache told a meeting of the Congress of Romania's Financial Auditors.
'Cooperation between CNVM and financial auditors has not stayed empty. It is manifested in various directions. An important aspect of it is the efforts of the auditors in their reports for the reports to be fair. Likewise, another important element is provided by transparency measures. Besides restoring the confidence of investors, transparency should be another main priority in the financial province, because investors have to know all the aspects detected by the auditor,' said Anghelache.
There are more than 350 CNVM certified financial auditors that are legal entities and 250 individual auditors.
The Chamber of Romania's Financial Auditors is marking the National Day of Financial Auditing by holding the third meeting of the Financial Auditors' Congress to discuss auditing to boost the confidence of investors and protect public interests.
