MFP has borrowed about EUR 68 mn

The Ministry of Public Finance (MFP) has borrowed on Thursday about 68.15 million euros (296.45 million lei) from commercial banks through the issuance of benchmark bonds, with a three-year maturity, placed on auction through the National Bank of Romania (BNR). (1 euro = 4.35 lei)
The Government securities have maturity in October 2014 and the average yield the issuance was adjudicated for stood at 7.48 percent. The coupon rate is 6.25 percent and the price level of 96.8436 percent.
The Ministry of Public Finance (MFP) wants to borrow 4.5 billion lei from banks in November, with six issues of Treasury bills and state bonds.
In the first 10 months of 2011, the Ministry has borrowed from banks about 42 billion lei, and in 2010 it borrowed from the domestic market over 41 billion lei.
The planned budget deficit for 2011 and agreed through the financial package with the IMF and the European Union is 23.953 billion lei.
