Car-manufacturing industry contributes by 35% to Romanian exports

The Romanian car-manufacturing industry contributes by 35 percent to the total Romanian export, being the major supported of it with the 230,000 employees, according to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Business Milieu (MECMA).

The Romanian products in this industry will be exhibited these days (November 15 to 18) in Paris at the forty-first international fair MIDEST specialised in subcontracting products, equipment and industrial services.

MECMA, through the Romanian Centre for Promoting the Commerce and Foreign Investment together with the Federation of Employers in the Car-Manufacturing Industry, organised the participation of the Romanian companies at this event, under the brand 'Romania, Your Reliable Trade Partner,' granting the opportunity to the exporters in Romania to exhibit their products and services, to assess the requirements and the exigencies of the European market to contribute together with the European companies to the development of some creative projects of bilateral cooperation.

The Romanian companies attending the fair expose under their national pavilion, some industrial products and services such as mechanical transmission elements, matrices, plastic processing machinery, aluminium surfaces treating, under-pressure cauldrons, rubber-metal composite pieces, car accessories, cast items, crankshafts, expanded perforated metal.

The Romanian companies will exhibit the equipment to act drilling installations, special steel for the air industry, components for polishing machines, components made up of ferrous metal, services, design and consultancy, industrial pieces and components.

The representatives of the Romanian companies attending this event talked to businessmen in European Union and experts in various countries regarding the possibilities to cooperate in the field of industrial technology.

On Nov 15, MIDEST was opened in the presence of the French Parliament President Bernard Accoyer. On this occasion, Jean Claude Menier, president of the Industrial Unioin of Surface Treatments, voiced his satisfaction regarding the official participation of our country traditionally to this manifestation and about the economic cooperation between the French companies with the Romanian companies in the industrial sector.

According to MECMA, the Romanian exports in France amounted to 3.77 billion euros over the first seven months of 2011, 11 percent more on a year-on-year basis.
