Top 30 SEE companies: Companies in Romania posted revenues of almost EUR 22 bn, in 2010

Half of the best performing companies in South East Europe (SEE), present in the Top 30 in 2010, a rankings list compiled by financial news agency SeeNews, come from Romania, and the value of revenues made by them totals 21.87 billion euros, the tenth edition of the Romania Yearbook Top 100 Companies informs.

Thus, the undisputable leader in the top remained, the same as in 2009, the company OMV Petrom SA, with total revenues of 3.627 billion euros, up 8.48 percent.

The podium is completed by the oil and gas producer INA d.d. (Croatia) with revenues amounting, in 2010, to almost 3.3 billion euro (+23.14 percent) and by Lukoil Neftochim Burgas AD (Bulgaria) - with revenues of 2.794 billion euros (+29.16 percent).

The second Romanian company present in the hierarchy is Automobile Dacia SA (4th place), with reported total revenues in 2010 of 2.709 billion euros, while Rompetrol Rafinare SA was ranked sixth, up two spots from the previous year, with revenues of 1.959 billion euros.

The list of most valuable Romanian companies present in the first 30 places of the Top 100 Companies in South Eastern Europe is filled, among others, by Nokia Romania SRL (No. 13 - with 1.644 billion euros in revenues), Rompetrol Downstream SRL (No. 15 - revenues of 1.446 billion euros), Metro Cash & Carry SRL (No. 17 - 1.238 billion euros in revenues), British American Tobacco (No. 19 - revenues of 1.137 billion euros).

According to the quoted source, 47 Romanian companies which entered the Top 100 list attracted last year total revenues of 40 billion euros, in conditions in which all the 100 large companies in South-Eastern Europe have achieved revenues of 87.4 billion euros.
