Romania as destination, promoted as a first at EIBTM Barcelona

Romania participates for the first time with a brand in the Global Meetings and Events Exhibition - EIBTM Barcelona 2011. 'It's the first time we attend this event and actually come to Spain with a brand.
We do not promote a specific product, but Romania as a destination', said on Tuesday Alexandru Bogdan Iosif, the head of the Tourist Office in Madrid.
The Ministry of Regional Development and Tourism (MDRT) participates with a stand in the International Tourism Fair in Barcelona, organized in the period November 29 - December 1 and which brings together 3,100 participants from over 90 countries. Romania's stand has an area of about 70 square meters, it is located next to Sweden's and that of Russia and brings together 12 participants, including Paloma Tours (organizer of medical conferences), Radisson (conference space rental), Premier Tours, Carpathian, Marina Travel .
Romania's participation in this fair has a cost of about 120,000 euros, financing being provided by the Ministry of Regional Development and Tourism, from European funds for Romania's promotion.Organizers expect over 8,300 visitors at this year's edition, Agerpres correspondent reports.
