SIF Oltenia subscribed RON 37.2 mn to BCR’s share capital increase

SIF Oltenia announced that it subscribed RON 37.15 mn to BCR’s share capital increase. SIF5 will get 371.15 mn shares in BCR, paying RON 0.1 for each share.

BCR has announced a EUR 150 mn share capital increase in October. We do not see the upside to be gained from subscribing to this capital increase since the new shares issued are not covered by the deal with Erste Group to buy the SIFs out of BCR. SIF5 will remain a minority shareholder of BCR without the extra rights that SIFs enjoyed before the deal with BCR.
