SIFs – Legislative proposal to hike the ownership limit approved

The legislative proposal to hike the ownership limit in SIFs from 1% to 5% has been moved on the Chamber of Deputies agenda for today.
The Deputies have finally voted favourably to increase the ownership limit from 1% to 5%. We would expect a positive market reaction since, a higher ownership limit, would lead over time to lower discounts to NAVs. SIFs shares are currently suspended and will resume trading at 11:35 (Romania time).
