ILO unemployment rate steady at 7.3pct in Nov.

The Romanian unemployment rate according to the International Labour Office (ILO) criteria was put at a seasonally adjusted 7.3 percent in Nov., having kept unchanged from Oct. and being by 0.1 percent lower than in Nov. 2010, the National Institute for Statistics has announced.
There were an estimated 727,000 ILO jobless aged between 15 and 74 in Nov., having kept steady from the prior month and down from Nov. 2010, when there were 731,000.
By sexes, the men's unemployment rate is higher by 1 percent than women's (7.7 percent for men and 6.7 percent for women respectively).
The ILO joblessness rate among the adults (25-74 years old) was put at 5.6 percent in Nov. 2011 (6.0 percent for men and 5.0 percent for women).
The out-of-work aged 25-74 account for 69.6 percent of the total ILO jobless estimated for Nov. 2011.
The unemployed according to the ILO criteria are the persons aged between 15-74, who simultaneously meet the following three conditions: they do not have a job, they are available to start work in the next two weeks and they have been actively looking for a job anytime in the last four weeks.
