Capital's north draws investments for another 10,000 apartments
ROMPRES - Romanian News Agency - 12 Februarie 2008
Bucharest's northern zone (Romania's Capital) is to draw this year another eight residential projects, set to include some 10,000 housing units, announced representatives of real estate consultancy Colliers International.
Biggest investments into office spaces were concentrated, up to present, in this zone of the Capital.
Colliers consultants affirm that, in the north, there are already, in various development stages, 16,600 housing units, whereas the office stock will exceed in the years to come 750,000 square meters.
Bucharest's north has become attractive to foreign investors ever since the end of the 1990s, when several office projects were started. The zone comprises, in general, modernization of some buildings held by the former state administration, as well as new office construction projects.
The most important tenants in this area are IT and telecommunication companies, as well as those active in the FMCG field (Fast Moving Consumer Goods).
