Romanian companies take part in New York and Frankfurt fairs

A number of 30 Romanian companies from clothing design and glass art products take part these days in the profile fairs organized in New York and Frankfurt, through the Export Promotion Programme, coordinated by the Foreign Trade Department with the Ministry for SMEs, Trade, Tourism and Liberal Professions (MMICTPL).

In New York, ten Romanian companies active in the clothing design field display original collections of women clothes, footwear, leather articles and accessories for the autumn-winter 2008 season. A number of meetings were held at the Romanian pavilion with representatives of some companies from the United States, such as Macy's, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, J.C. Penney, Castlewood Apparel Corp., Fishman&Tobin, Neiman Marcus, B.G.S. Textiles, M.C. Trading Inc., as well as with representatives of the Association of Textile Importers from the United States of America. In Frankfurt, 20 Romanian companies in the field of glass products are present in the International Ambiente 2008 Fair. The exhibition is specialized in glass articles, home and interior decorations. Romanian producers' objectives are to find out new business partners in the European Union and to establish new contacts and commercial relations with profile companies and producers in the world.
