30 Romanian companies present their offer at two international fairs

A number of 30 Romanian companies from clothing design and glass art products take part these days in the profile fairs organized in New York and Frankfurt, through the Export Promotion Program, coordinated by the Foreign Trade Department with the Ministry for SMEs, Trade, Tourism and Liberal Professions (MMICTPL).

Ten Romanian companies active in the clothing design field are presenting original collections of women clothes, footwear, leather articles and accessories for the autumn-winter 2008 season at the fair in New York. 'Gained experience by Romanian firms in competition with partners from traditional countries in the fashion field allowed them to present collections in line with the current trends in this industry and in conformity with the branding project in this branch, included in the National Strategy of Export, launched by the Ministry for SMEs', stated Costin Lianu, coordinator of the National Strategy of Export for Romania. Participation in this event is linked to the need to promote Romanian products on the American market, to make then known and to consolidate the Romanian fashion companies' creative potential on the markets abroad. As well, Romania is present in the International Ambiente 2008 Fair, organized in Frankfurt, with 20 companies in the field of glass products. The exhibition is specialized in glass articles, home and interior decorations. Romanian producers' objectives are to find out new business partners in the European Union and to establish new contacts and commercial relations with profile companies and producers in the world. Romanian companies display handcrafted glass articles, covered with designs in lead and stained glass imitations, ceramics with minimalist design, acrylic products for restaurants, catering, hospitals, schools.
