Letea Bacau produces eco-friendly paper
ROMPRES - Romanian News Agency - 19 Februarie 2008
The first batch of paper produced 95 pct of recycled material and just 5 pct of cellulose on Monday left the production line of Letea Bacau, a well known Romanian brand in the paper and cellulose industry.
The first quantities were delivered to national dailies that will print on this support.
Not only does the new product comply with European ecological norms, but production costs decreased significantly. Letea plant owner Dumitru Sechelariu told Rompres that ''only electricity consumption dropped from 21.5 MW/h to mere 10 MW/h.'
The average paper production at Letea (north-east of Bucharest) is of about 200 tons a day.
