Analysts see BRD 2007 gains between 263 and 290 million euro

Analysts of the major brokerage companies estimate that BRD-SocGen - the largest bank listed on the Romanian Stock Exchange - will post net non-consolidated profits between 878 million lei (263 million euro) and 970 million lei (290 million euro) for 2007; the figures are expressed according to the Romanian Accountancy Standards (RAS).
The bank's three-quarter gains stood at 682.1 million lei (some 206 million euro).
Expressed according to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), estimations vary between 896.6 million lei (268 million euro) and 1,156 million lei (346.4 million euro).
KBC Securities analysts are the most optimistic, expecting BRD's Q4 non-consolidated gains to stand at 269.4 million lei (81.3 million euro), close to the figure announced in the previous quarter, but by 50.6 pct above the figure registered in the similar period of 2006.
Intercapital Invest experts see BRD's net profit (calculated by the RAS methodology) at 950 million lei (284 million euro).
Fortius Finance analysts' estimation - of 930 million lei (278.7 million euro by the RAS methodology) stands above the average of 921.1 million lei, whereas Vanguard said the figure should be 910 million lei (272 million euro).
Broker Cluj analysts expect BRD to post a net profit of 220 million lei (some 60 million euro) in Q4, up 23 pct against the similar period of 2006.
Assumptions by BT Securities and Interdealer Invest - of 900 million lei - stand at the lower limit of overall estimations. The same expect the bank's 2007 assets to reach 39.2 billion lei (11.7 billion euro), almost 40 pct above the previous year.
Raiffeisen analysts see BRD's net 2007 gains at 945 million lei (283 million euro, by the IFRS methodology).
BRD - Groupe Société Générale is the second largest Romanian bank by assets.
The capitalisation of 6 bln euro at the end of June 2007 placed BRD - Groupe Société Générale first in the ranking of financial institutions listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
BRD - Groupe Société Générale is present in all Romanian counties with a network of over 600 agencies and 900 ATMs. In June 2007, BRD had 2.2 million active individual and corporate clients and over 2 million issued cards.
