ROMPRES - Romanian News Agency - 20 Februarie 2008
Marina di Eforie will be the biggest Black Sea pleasure port whose building will take five years to complete.
The port due to be built at the Eforie Nord Black Sea resort will be actually a small town coming forth from the sea, protected by a 2,800 m long dam. The marina will have 2,600 slips, 4,000 holiday suites, villas, a health club, entertainment areas, casinos, 120,000 sqm of green areas, a botanical garden and a school. All of them will be linked via a 16 km stretch of land or suspension roads.
The pleasure port will cover 200 ha between Constanta Sud- Agigea and the northern border of the Eforie resort, Eforie Nord Mayor Ovidiu Brailoiu says. Marina di Eforie is a project endorsed by a group of Italian investors, who provided guarantees worth 800 million euros issued by European banks, mayor Brailoiu says.
The first steps in the approval of the project have been ataken, and the mayor hopes the building works start sooner than one year. Italian Sofim Company provides the technical design and building proper and manages the project while British Seringdon finances the investment.
