KA International forecasts turnover of 1.5 million euros

KA International, European leader in interior design and one of the world's biggest franchisers, aims at 1.5 million euros in turnover, by 500,000 euros more than the initial plans, in its year of operation in Romania, reads a KA International release.

The company estimates one third of the sales will be made from interior design for hotels, and the rest will come from the new residential complexes. 'We are in the final process of selecting some local partners for franchising in the towns with special potential, such as Timisoara, Brasov, Constanta, Cluj, Iasi and Bacau. We target the cities in which new residential projects of the medium-high category are underway. Some 60% of the purchases at our shop in Bucharest will be made by the clients who have homes in this segment,' said Andreea Dragne, general manager of KA International Romania. According to the company's officials, the segment of luxury furniture and woven fabrics represents 25% of Romania's furniture market, which corresponds to a value of over 250 million euros in 2008. 'The premium segment will grow in 2008 by 28% versus 15%, the estimated growth of Romania's furniture market.
