Economic analysts set up relevant association
ROMPRES - Romanian News Agency - 28 Februarie 2008
The chief economist of BCR, Lucian Anghel, has been chosen the chairman of the Romanian Financial-Banking Analysts' Association, whose establishment was announced on Wednesday by its founding members, four important financial analysts.
The founders are Lucian Anghel, chief economist of BCR, Florian Libocor, chief economist of BRD, Ionut Dumitru, chief economist of Raiffeisen Bank, and the investment manager of Interamerican Pensii, Radu Craciun.
The association is a non-profit professional organization aimed at backing the professional interests of its members.
Lucian Anghel said AAFBR would start the demarches for the official recognition of the financial-banking analyst, a profession that is not present in the nomenclature of professions in Romania.
Drawing up legislative proposals in the financial - banking field to be submitted to the relevant authorities represent another objective of the association.
Radu Craciun underscored the purpose of the association is not to reflect a joint standpoint regarding the macroeconomic perspectives, and Florian Libocor said the association intends to issue a publication to present the viewpoints of its members.
