AAFBR founded yesterday

BCR, BRD and Raiffeisen Bank Chief Economists - Lucian Anghel, Florian Libocor and Ionut Dumitru, respectively, as well as the Interamerican Pensii Investment Director Radu Craciun, have founded the Romanian Financial Bank Analysts Association (AAFBR), Mediafax informs.

AAFBR was officially launched yesterday as a non-profit trade association acting to support its members’ professional interests. Lucian Anghel, Chief-Economist of Banca Comerciala Romana (BCR), is the AAFBR President, and Florian Libocor, Ionut Dumitru and Radu Craciun are Vice-Presidents of the Association. The AAFBR membership is open to any graduate of economic higher education or of economic post-degree education whose current activity justifies his/her affiliation with the association, recommended by a member of the association and approved by the Steering committee. Some of the aims of the Association are the drafting of legislative proposals in the financial and banking field to be forwarded to the relevant authorities as legislative initiatives. Association Vice-President Radu Craciun explained that the purpose of the Association was not to pass common judgments on the economic outlook, as the members would be free to have their own opinions. Florian Libocor however stated that the Association would edit a publication presenting the standpoints of its members.
