Seven banks submit offers to deposit EU funds for agriculture

Seven banks submitted offers to deposit the 5.86 billion euros of EU funds for agriculture over 2008-2011, within the tender organized on Monday by the Agriculture Ministry, according to a ministerial release.

The banks to submit offers are Banca Comerciala Romana, Banca Comerciala Carpatica, Banc Post, Raiffeisen, BRD, CEC and Romexterra. The offers will be analysed by a commission with the ministry, but a deadline was not set. The Agriculture Ministry will have to inform the European Commission on the account to receive the funds for the agricultural sector, rural development and fishery. Romania will receive from EU over 2007-20013 some 12 billion euros as direct payment for agriculture and rural development. Sursa: http://www.rompress.ro
