ING boasts highest share of private pensions system

With a market share of 33.2 pct, ING Romania tops the ranking of financial institutions that manage private pension funds, reveal the end results of the initial membership acquisition process remitted on Friday to Rompres.
ING reported 1,269,728 valid membership acquisition documents, followed by Allianz Tiriac with 980,229; Generali - 358,419; AVIVA - with 281,367.
According to the final update of the contributors' directory - performed on Thursday, March 6 - a number of 3,823,610 persons were validated in the system of pension schemes under private trusteeship (Pillar II).
The results of the final update of the contributors' directory will serve in the computer-assisted random assignment stage, when 332,706 participants who did not join any pension scheme (although they were required to) or who applied with several funds (and were therefore invalidated) will be assigned to one fund or another. The 332,706 will be assigned randomly and proportionally to one of the 18 authorized pension funds.
