AVAS to sell Iprochim to business consortium

The State Assets Realisation Authority (AVAS) has selected the bid submitted by a business consortium made up of the employees' association AS Iprochim, Proiect Bucharest SA and ARNO Capital SRL to take over Iprochim SA of Bucharest, reads a press release issued by AVAS.

The bidding consortium offered RON 301.396 per share. Iprochim was put up for sale on October 24, 2007 through negotiations on technical offers. In accordance with the European legislation in the area of state aids, AVAS will notify the privatisation process to the European Commission and negotiations proper will be postponed until after the European Commission has issued an opinion. AVAS is selling 238,364 shares in Iprochim that make up a 72.99263-percent stake in the company's share capital. The company specialises in architectural engineering. There were eight bids submitted to AVAS by the deadline for the submission of short-listing documents, the participation documents and the technical and financial offers. Potential investors interested in the deal have bought 34 presentation files. Out of eight bidders having submitted participation documents, only five were left in the marking of the final bids.
