European Future Group builds mini-town near Buftea locality

UK company European Future Group (EFG), with managed assets of 1bn euros, will develop in the next years 7 real estate projects totaling some 2.5bn euros on the Romanian market.

The biggest project of the company will be started this year near the locality of Buftea (close to Bucharest), on an investment of 1,9bn euros, and will include 6,500 homes. It will be finalized in 2015. Currently, the company is expecting the permits for building the first phase of the project, which will comprise 60 villas and 890 apartments, in which 150m euros will be invested, the acquisition manager pf EFG told Ziarul Financiar daily. The EFG official added a mini-town would be developed in the next 7 years, in which 15,000-20,000 people would live. The mini-town will comprise a kindergarten, a school and a shopping street. The project provides also for building a train station with direct link with Bucharest's Northern Station. The construction of the first part of the part of the project will start in Q3 2008. A partnership has already been signed with the investment fund Black Sea Enhanced Returns Fund, which will ensure the financing.
