Luxury brands expand to Romania

Ferrari luxury car maker will open a 5,000-sqm showroom in Bucharest this May to also include a store, a restaurant and a shopping gallery, Oliver Petcu, managing partner of CPP Management Consultants company, expert in the luxury industry, said.

Ferrari distribution was set up together with a local partner. The gallery to be opened at end-2009 will include top international brands in the field of fashion and accessories, Petcu said. He underscored there is also an order for 10 Ferrari car to be delivered in 2009. Luxury brands Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Dolce&Gabanna , French producer of luxury accessories for men JM Weston, as well as Hermes, announced their official entrance on the Romanian market this year. Louis Vuitton store will be opened in May 2008, Petcu said. He also said that accessories belonging to the brands Etro and Ferragamo will be officialy distributed in Bucharest through a multi brand store, whose launch is set for the autumn of 2008. The store will also include Dolce&Gabbana merchandise. Another luxury world leader, Gucci, announced the opening of a mono brand store in 2008, most probably located on Victory boulevard (central Bucharest).
