Elsaco invests in equipment for production of water and heat meters

Elsaco Electronics, supplier of water and heat metres will invest one million euros this year in equipment for the production of metres.
Petru Parfenov, deputy manager of Elsaco Electronics told daily Business Standard that the investment will be made in partnership with Danish company Brunata, and Elsaco Brunata will export equipment worldwide.
In 2007 Elsaco reported 32 million euros in 2007 and gross profit of 2.5 million euros.
Elsaco participated in a range of modernisation and recovery programmes of water and heat supply systems funded by the World Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the European Investment Bank or from own sources of beneficiaries. Among the main customers of the company Parfenov stressed town halls, RADET heat supply Bucharest and heat power station in Bacau (eastern Romania).
In 2008 the company will invest some 100,000 euros in web console, through which each person will have a password for accessing the information of the gas and heat meter. The pilot project will be carried out this year in Iasi (eastern Romania). On the domestic market of gas, water and heat metres, Elsaco ranks third, after ISTA and Techem.
